New! Shower chair calf support

Washing up after the flood

Just a reminder that any soft wheelchair postural support exposed to flood waters should be washed ASAP. All Bodypoint sewn supports like straps, harnesses and belts have been tested to ensure that they retain their strength after they are machine washed with detergent, at a "hot" setting (140° F) and machine-dried-- another way that we try to ensure user safety.

For the shower chair belts, the allowable washing temperature is up to 160° F.

If you have another brand of support, that might say "spot clean only," you should know that the FDA has recommended discarding medical devices that cannot be fully cleaned after floodwater exposure. In that eventuality, we hope that you will make the move to Bodypoint!

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the storm; let us know how we can help.
