Upper body support for larger users

Wheelchair users come in all shapes and sizes. Often, larger users, especially those with a pear shape where the upper body is much smaller than the belly, will be better served by a two-point chest strap (attached to the chair in one place on each side) or belt than a four-point harness like the PivotFit™ or Stayflex™.

Chest strap options include (1) the Monoflex™ for dynamic padding, (2) the unpadded Chest Strap with a large D ring and Velcro®-style closure, or (3) a padded or unpadded hip belt worn on the chest, with the buckle of choice, such as a push button or our low-force Rehab Latch™.

That sounds like a lot, but it's just about who is wearing the strap, with what lifestyle and capabilities. Need help deciding? Drop us a line, give us a call or chat live!
